For One Night

For one night, I had the chance to escape the boring routine of everyday life. It was an evening that I had been looking forward to for weeks, and the anticipation was finally coming to a head. I had planned every detail, from what to wear to where to go. I wanted it to be perfect, an escape from reality, even if only for a few hours.
